About silvi the artist
SILVI is a contemporary artist born in the coastal city of Burgas, Bulgaria, a place shaped by the sea, history, and quiet inner strength. Her connection to art began in early childhood, driven by constant curiosity and questions such as “How is this made?” and “How can this be expressed?”
She has been drawing since kindergarten, and some of her earliest works still exist today as a reminder of where her artistic journey began.
Early Years and Self-Taught Journey
Until reaching adulthood, SILVI developed as a self-taught artist. She explored the world through observation and experimentation, constantly searching for ways to understand form, structure, and emotion, and how they could be translated onto paper and canvas.
Art was never something temporary for her, it was always present, always essential.

Education and Challenges
Although she graduated from a Spanish language high school, SILVI chose to follow her true calling and enrolled at the National Academy of Art in Bulgaria. There, she completed two Bachelor’s degrees: Graphic Design (Poster and Visual Communication) and Theory and Practice of Art Education (Pedagogy).
Entering the academy without an art high school background placed her in a highly competitive environment. Despite the challenges and pressure, she remained persistent and disciplined, graduating with excellent results.
A Turning Point
A defining moment in her professional path came when she became an assistant to a famous Bulgarian artist Georgi Andonov. Working alongside him expanded her understanding of what it means to be a contemporary professional artist, not only creatively, but also in terms of responsibility, discipline, and long-term sustainability.
During this time, SILVI continued to create her own works and began sharing her creative process on social media.

From Process to Recognition
What started as simple documentation of her work quickly resonated with people around the world. The raw process, imperfections, and honesty behind each painting reached a wide international audience.
This organic connection led to the emergence of SILVI The Artist, not just as a name, but as a recognizable artistic identity. Today, SILVI creates original artworks and commissioned pieces, organizes exhibitions, and participates in art fairs and competitions.
Although she is widely recognized in her home country, Bulgaria, she does not define herself as an influencer or public figure. She believes her true purpose is to bring joy, emotion, and meaning into people’s lives through art.
Roots and Cultural Influence
Born and raised in Bulgaria, SILVI carries a deep connection to her cultural roots. Growing up near the sea, surrounded by ancient landscapes and layered history, she developed a strong sensitivity to place, memory, and continuity.
She is drawn to contrasts, strength and fragility, chaos and control, movement and stillness, reflecting the emotional depth and quiet intensity of Bulgarian identity. Living and working in Bulgaria is a conscious choice that grounds her creative freedom and adds authenticity to her work.

Artistic Philosophy and Healing
For SILVI, art is more than painting. It is a path toward inner balance, growth, and peace. Through painting, she processes emotions, transformation, and inner tension.
She believes that when a work is created honestly, it carries emotional truth, and that truth reaches the viewer. Her goal is to create art that offers connection, calmness, and moments of stillness in a fast-moving world.
Style: Abstract Splash Figurativism
Through years of experimentation and self-exploration, SILVI developed her own distinctive style, which she calls Abstract Splash Figurativism.
Fluid paint splashes move freely across the canvas, guided by energy and chance. From this abstraction, controlled figurative forms emerge.
This balance between spontaneity and intention reflects life itself, where uncertainty exists alongside conscious choice and meaning.

Themes and Creative Process
Her work explores themes of identity, freedom, emotional transformation, and inner growth.SILVI believes inspiration does not come from waiting in front of a blank canvas, but from action, from working consistently, experimenting, failing, and pushing personal boundaries.
She believes that true artistic growth begins outside the comfort zone.
Looking Forward
SILVI is part of a rising generation of contemporary Bulgarian artists and is actively working toward a strong international presence. Her goals include solo exhibitions worldwide, meaningful collaborations, and continuous artistic evolution.
Her dream is for her paintings to be part of homes, offices, and creative spaces around the world connecting people through emotion, movement, and authenticity.

Artist Statement
“My work explores the balance between spontaneity and intention. I allow the paint to move freely, and from this movement, controlled figurative forms emerge. Through this process, I reflect themes of identity, emotional transformation, and inner growth.
For me, art is not about perfection, but honesty, consistency, and presence.
Each painting is a quiet dialogue between freedom and control.
Through my work, I transform personal experiences, questions, and emotions into visual form. I believe art has the power to offer comfort, recognition, and a sense of connection, reminding us that growth happens through patience, trust, and staying true to ourselves.”
