SILVI is a contemporary artist born in Burgas, Bulgaria. A graduate of the National Academy of Art, she has developed a distinctive style she calls Abstract Splash Figurativism — where spontaneous paint movements give way to controlled figurative forms. She has held over 7 solo exhibitions and participated in 20+ group exhibitions internationally, including the Louvre in Paris and The Holy Art Gallery in London. Her work is available worldwide through her online gallery.
SILVI was born in the coastal city of Burgas, Bulgaria — a place where the sea, history and quiet strength shape both character and imagination. Her connection to art began in early childhood, driven by a constant curiosity about form, colour, and how emotion translates into visual language. She drew from kindergarten, and some of her earliest works survive today as reminders of where the journey began.
After graduating from a Spanish language high school, she was accepted into the National Academy of Art in Bulgaria, where she completed two degrees: Poster and Visual Communication (Graphic Design) and Theory and Practice of Art Education (Pedagogy). Entering the Academy without an art high school background placed her in a highly competitive environment — one she navigated with discipline, graduating with excellent results.
A major turning point came when she became assistant to the renowned Bulgarian artist Georgi Andonov, whose influence deepened her understanding of what it means to be a professional artist in the contemporary world. She began creating her own work and, almost instinctively, started documenting her creative process on social media — where it found a global audience.
Her style, which she defines as Abstract Splash Figurativism, is the result of years of experimentation. Fluid paint moves beyond full control, choosing its own direction. From this abstraction, deliberate figurative forms emerge. The tension between spontaneity and intention — between chaos and structure — is both her method and her subject.
She has exhibited internationally at the Louvre in Paris (2025) and The Holy Art Gallery in London (2024), been selected as a finalist in the MOST Contemporary Art Competition from over 200 applicants, and received awards for her work at the Society of Artists Gallery in Burgas. Her work spans originals, limited edition prints, and commissioned pieces, available worldwide through her online gallery at silvitheartist.com.
“My art is contemporary, but its emotional foundation is deeply rooted in this land — its history, its traditions, and its enduring spirit.”
“The paint moves freely, beyond full control, choosing its own direction. Once it dries, it reveals what it has become.”
“We rarely have complete control, yet within uncertainty, we shape meaning. That tension is where beauty lives.”
